The New York State Department of Transportation announced that between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, there will be a single lane closure on Route 120A (King Street) in both directions between Betsy Brown Road and Beechwood Boulevard in Port Chester.
The closure is planned to allow contracting crews to perform highway work permit activities, the NYSDOT said. During the project, motorists can expect delays and have been advised to seek alternate routes, when possible.
According to the NYSDOT, “motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license."
